The German-Indonesian Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit private organization that serves as Germany's official representation in Indonesia. Our primary goal is to promote and support bilateral trade between Germany and Indonesia. We are now seeking candidate for the position of Business Development Manager for one of our German clients, Richard Wolf GmbH.

Richard Wolf GmbH in Germany offers a wide range of products and systems for endoscopy and extracorporeal shock wave treatment. These instruments are supplied to virtually all specialist disciplines in human medicine. The product range is supplemented by Operating Room Management Systems which are marketed under the name core nova. The core nova system relieves personnel working in operating theaters from the burden of having to carry out organizational and administrative tasks and this makes the system equally appropriate for hospitals and medical practices. Industrial endoscopes complete the range of instruments available. Richard Wolf is a mid-sized medical technology company. It employs a workforce of more than 1,500 employees and maintains a global network of 15 subsidiaries and 130 foreign representatives.
Project description and responsibilities
You will collaborate and exchange as a solid interface closely with the sales department at the HQ and distributor in Indonesia developing a consistent long-term marketing growth strategy. Joint support of our local partner in new projects, guiding customers in new market trends of the versatile high-end medical equipment, and offering new perspectives in all fields of the Minimally Invasive Surgery.
Responsibilities:
- Further development of the sales and marketing activities in Indonesia
- Market research and observation
- Identify and develop new customers/hospitals in Indonesia
- Coordinate the sales activities together with the distributor
- Initiate special marketing strategies in close cooperation with the Area Sales Management in Germany
- Frequent joint customer and hospital visits together with distributor
- Organizing workshops together with the headquarters
- Strategic product planning according to the individual market needs
- Disciplinary reporting line to the General Manager Singapore, functional reporting line to the responsible Area Manager based in Germany
Requirements:
- University degree in Engineering/ Business Administration or a comparable technical or medical education
- Minimum 5 years working experience in technical sales and medical industry, preferably in Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS)
- Analytical understanding of the Indonesian Hospital & Healthcare system is a must
- High interest for sales and marketing of medical equipment
- Ability to communicate directly with doctors and decision makers
- Pro-active, self-initiative and able to work independently
- Loyal and trustworthy
- Willingness to travel frequently
- Native proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia to liaise with native stakeholders, fluent in English
